sound is equally strong on both carburettors.

Check or replace sparking plugs.
Dirty, faulty or moist distributor cap. Remove and clean or change distributor cap.

Oil in carburettor dampirg cyl inders insufficient or Top up with oil of the right g rade and viscosity.

Dirt in carburettors. _ Remove float chamber covers and clean chambers.
Fuel, 'air mixture too lean. _ Check carburettor settings. _
i Faulty fuel pump supplying too little fuel. Check fuel pump pressure and capacity.

Poor fuel being used , too low octane rating.
Check fuel grade, use correct fu$l.
